Physiogenex is a preclinical contract research organization providing services and scientific expertise on metabolic disorders. Physiogenex scientific expertise focuses on type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia and liver diseases, integrating the links between glucose, lipid, lipoprotein metabolism and related cardiovascular complications. The company works with international biopharmaceutical companies.
Mission :
The research scientist reports to the Scientific Director and undertakes the responsibility for research & development projects in his field. Main responsibilities :
- Key role in the design, implementation, delivery and reporting of research projects, ensuring they happen on time and to budget.
- Scientific team management on your projects
- Set up and maintain relevant experimental protocols
- Scientific reporting skills
- Development of specific techniques
- Identify and advise on R&D developments in your field
- Monitor scientific literature in your field
- Report and present scientific results internally and externally. Represent the company at international scientific meetings/symposium.
Candidates profile :
Education, experience and skills :
- DVM, MD or PhD degree in pharmacology or physiology in metabolic and hepatic disorders
- Minimum five years of experience
- Experience in industry is a must. For French people an experience abroad is a plus.
- Animal experimentation graduation (Level I)
- First experience in management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) required
- Ability to work according to GLP guidelines is considered a plus
